Messages from Jesus begins with Jesus and other masters encouraging Mary Ann to write books. It is the second book in a series and relates extraordinary events in her life, but it stands alone, for it is primarily a dialogue between Jesus and the author, in which Jesus addresses our needs as spiritual, social and physical beings. It is for anyone who has questions about how to attain God-realization, where the soul goes after death, and what we should do as individuals and nations to improve our lives, protect Mother Earth and eliminate the causes of terrorism and war.
In addressing the challenges we face today, Jesus discusses problems that didn’t exist two thousand years ago and now threaten humanity. But he also gives us hope and shows how we can rise above human limitations and suffering. Jesus speaks of religion and reincarnation in ways that relate to our modern world and understanding, and presents concepts, such as oneness, which we can more easily grasp at the present time.
Together, Jesus and Mary Ann discuss unconditional love and forgiveness, sin and karma, meditation, living in the presence of God, healing, and many other matters that pertain to our beliefs, spiritual growth, happiness and health. Every chapter of Messages from Jesus is filled with Jesus’ inspiring counsel. He expands on his teachings in the Bible and corrects misinterpretations of terms like “the only begotten Son”, and misconceptions, such as the idea that God is vengeful.

In the 1980’s, while living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, George Johnston created a comprehensive course of instruction in the teachings of yoga for students at Muskegon Community College. His illustrated manual, A Course in Yoga, is still used by the college and includes hatha yoga postures, holistic nutrition, spiritual teachings, meditation, and the philosophical and psychological aspects of yoga.
This manual is intended to be used for a high school or college course, along with lectures by the instructor and group practice of the postures. It explains how to perform twenty-seven basic, traditional yoga postures and presents information on the following topics, which the student can review in preparing for written exams.
